Vietnam Story could organize both routes: well-known and classic routine in Halong Bay, and other is the non-touristic path in Bai Tu Long Bay. No matter what your travel style, we will make your trip brilliant and unforgettable
3.1 Bai Tu Long Bay
Bai Tu Long Bay is one of the bays in the Halong Bay complex that belongs to route 4, the destination of Signature Cruises. Come with us to explore this peaceful area!
Bai Tu Long Bay sits directly northeast of Halong Bay, and while it may be Halong’s lesser-known neighbor, it is without a doubt, equal in beauty! The Bay encompasses Bai Tu Long National Park and like Halong Bay, is an area protected by the local government on both land and sea.
Belonging to route 4 in the Halong Bay complex, Bai Tu Long Bay is an ideal tourist destination because of the wild and natural features of this area, bringing peace due to little human exploitation of tourism. This place promises to be a place you cannot miss when coming to Quang Ninh Province.
3.2 Sung Sot Cave
Of All Of Halong’s Caves, Sung Sot Cave Is The Largest, Perhaps The Most Renowned, And Likely The Most Visited Of All.
Among the 1,969 sunken limestone towers submerged in the indigo waters of Halong Bay are a series of ancient caves and grottoes – many of which remained unexplored. To date, there are 59 caves listed on the official registry (this includes the most recent discovery of 23 ‘new’ caves), all of which have a special belonging in Halong Bay’s distinctive ecosystem.
Undoubtedly the most famous of them all is Sung Sot Cave, which has rightfully earned its near-legendary status among visitors to the world-famous bay.
Largely considered to be the center of Halong Bay, Sung Sot Cave is located on Bo Hon Island, a close neighbor of several other famous attractions such as Titov Island, Bo Nau Grotto, Me Cung Cave and Luon Cave.
Bo Hon Island is one of the largest in the area, its resident cave is also comparatively large. Located on the same island is Trinh Nu Cave, another example of the folklore that Halong Bay is laden with (if you fancy reading about the estranged lovers whose tragic story ended in Trinh Nu Cave with a dramatic death you can read about that).
3.3 Ti Top Island
Titop Island sits at the heart of Halong Bay, just 8 kilometers to the southeast of Bai Chay Harbor. Although it is relatively small (a total area of 3.7 hectares), it’s regarded as one of the most picturesque islands in the bay and is a crowd favorite among Halong tourists.
Titop offers breathtaking landscapes which can be viewed from a vantage point high up in the center of the island. It has a crescent-shaped beach that is known for its tranquility, powdery white sand, and azure blue waters. Because of its close proximity to Bai Chay, a stopover in Titop Island is included in many cruise itineraries.
3.4 Vung Vieng Fishing Village
Widely considered one of the highlights of Southeast Asia, Halong Bay is jam-packed with tourist attractions
Of the four floating villages that lie in Halong Bay, Vung Vieng fishing village is the one earning a reputation as the most authentic, community minded, and ecologically aware of all.
As Halong Bay experiences a momentous tourism spike, it is the small communities like Vung Vieng fishing village that one would assume are most vulnerable to the trappings of modern tourism. Yet despite the changes and developments, and even the move inland- their prevailing culture and way of life is far from fragile.
Vung Vieng fishing village, one of the four remaining of its kind, lies in what is considered to be the center of Bai Tu Long Bay. To the northeast of Halong Bay, Bai Tu Long Bay is far less populous than its world-famous neighbour- and yet lacks nothing in terms of impressive scenery.
3.5 Thien Canh Son Cave
The stunning and glorious caves are the most outstanding feature of Halong Bay. With thousands of islands and hundreds of limestone caves, Halong Bay is like a natural museum where tourists can learn more about geology and biology.
When mentioning the most stunning caves in Halong Bay, tourists will list many well-known caves such as Sung Sot Cave, Dau Go Cave, Trinh Nu Cave and Thien Canh Son Cave. As its name suggests, Thien Canh Son Cave offers tourists with the impressive beauty like a fairy land.
Thien Canh Son Cave is located in Cong Do Reserve, which is at the center of Bai Tu Long Bay. The distance between Thien Canh Son Cave and Bai Chay Wharf is about 25 kilometers. Due to the location at the core of the heritage, the nature near Thien Canh Son Cave is protected closely and strictly. There are many plant species living near this cave, so it has another name as “Hang Co”, which means “grass cave”. Afterwards, due to its beauty, the name “Thien Canh Son” is used to call this cave.
