this is our 5th TAD adventure. When booking you know where you are going but from experience we know it’s the Tour Leader that will make or break the trip. Tom greeted us and started with setting up a What’s App, a great idea, it is more than just helpful, it brings the team together, sharing & caring. it didn’t take long for everyone to jump onboard adding info, asking questions and adding /sharing photos. Tom sorted our rooms, handed out our keys, had Water everyday, paid ahead for entry to excursion destinations, organised for laundry etc which certainly ment less headaches for everyone ( upgrade) Organising the bus to save walking or taxi/uber ride (upgrade) With Tom’s wide smile, warm personality & good English we knew we were in good hands, always happy to help out and deal with our issues (they happen) As a tour leader we rate him AAA. 5 Stars – Excellent Tours and Wonderful Guides! We had an absolutely fantastic experience during our recent visit to Hanoi, Vietnam! We booked two private tours, and both exceeded our expectations. We had a wonderful time exploring Vietnam, and the entire trip was smooth and well organised. Staying in Hanoi’s Old Quarter was a great experience, and we really enjoyed exploring the beautiful landscapes of Ninh Binh and taking the boat ride through Trang An. The highlight of our trip was the overnight cruise in Ha Long Bay. The stunning scenery, peaceful overnight stay, and morning kayaking made it a truly memorable experience. The limousine transfers were also comfortable and hassle-free throughout the trip. A special thanks to Nina for helping customise our itinerary and patiently answering all my questions from day one. Her support and guidance made the planning process much easier and gave us confidence before the trip. Overall, everything went smoothly, and we returned home with lots of beautiful memories. An Excellent Guide – Thank You, Hai Nguyen! Hai Nguyen made our Vietnam trip truly memorable! He was punctual, friendly, patient, and incredibly helpful throughout our time with him. He explained everything so well that we could appreciate not just the places we visited, but also the culture and stories behind them. What touched me most was his willingness to go the extra mile. At Mua Cave, he patiently helped me climb the steps and encouraged me along the way. He also helped us take lovely photographs, assisted us with shopping, and took us to a place selling beautiful bamboo products. His suggestions to visit the night market and take an evening walk around the lake added some wonderful experiences to our trip that we might otherwise have missed. Hai was always considerate, and attentive to our needs. His warmth and genuine helpfulness made us feel comfortable and well looked after. Day 1Hanoi - Halong Bay - Lan Ha Bay (L/D)

Timeline

Morning:

Pick up time is between 8:00 – 8:30 am (NO GUIDE). Follow the newest highway connecting Hanoi and Ha Long. The road trip takes around 2.5 hours.
Upon arrival at Tuan Chau Marina, passengers will be welcomed by hospitable staff at Orchid Cruise’s lounge. After enjoying a special cup of tea, around 12.15pm, Orchid tender will transfer tourists to the main boat Orchid Cruise.

Afternoon:

After check-in onboard, you will receive cruise briefing and safety instructions. Lunch will be served in the luxury restaurant on board – as you savor the exquisite Vietnamese and international cuisines, the cruise will slowly head pass beautiful islets in Halong Bay such as Da Chong, Con Vit, and Gia Luan.
Get on by to access Trung Trang Cave – the largest valley on Cat Ba Island with beautiful stalactites. After that, you will have an opportunity to swim in the crystal water of Tra Bau Area.
Later return to our cruise to watch the amazing sunset over the Gulf of Tonkin. Cooking demonstration will be held on board, or enjoy our happy hour at our Bar.

Evening:

Around 7:15pm, dinner will be served. Then, you can take a rest in your own room after a long day of interesting activities, enjoy the seascape of the Bay at night or if you are into socializing, take a climb up on the top deck, try squid fishing, or watch a movie in the restaurant.

Day 2Day 2: Halong Bay - Hanoi (B/BRUNCH)

Timeline

Morning:

Early risers can enjoy the spectacular beauty of Halong Bay in the early morning and take part in Tai Chi class. After eating breakfast, tourists will be transferred by canoes to explore the Frog Pond area with time for swimming/ kayaking.
At 8:30am, tourists will be back on Orchid Cruise for a check-out schedule.
A delightful brunch will be catered at 10:00 am.
Around 11:30am, the cruise returns to Tuan Chau Marina, tourists disembark and say goodbye to the cruise. Our shuttle bus will transfer you back to Hanoi. Trip ends.

Are there any age restrictions for this tour?

We have a minimum age requirement of 18 years old to join the tour. Group members aged 16-17 years old are welcome to join the tour but only with a family member that will act as their guardian whilst on tour. Aside from that, no age requirements at all!
