It is called Luon Cave because at the water’s edge, there is a tunnel about 60 meters long, 3-4 meters high, passing through the mountain and opening up to a calm, flat, and green water reservoir surrounded by rocky mountains on all sides. The mountain walls are covered with moss, ferns, and a group of monkeys climbing on the branches of trees and rocks.

According to the Halong Bay Management Board, there are about 50 wild golden monkeys living in the Lươn Cave area on the rocky mountains.

There are 50 small bamboo boats and 100 kayaks to bring visitors explore Luon cave.

The Luon Cave Halong Bay is not just another cave; it is a beautiful spectacle of nature’s artwork with its own unique appeal. The cave’s entrance is a low archway of limestone, partially submerged in water, creating a magical gateway leading into a hidden world. As one ventures further into the cave, they are greeted by an array of stalactites and stalagmites, each uniquely shaped by years of water erosion, telling tales of a bygone era.

Within the cave, lies a serene lake, a natural spectacle that leaves visitors in awe. The calm water surface reflects the grandeur of the stalactites, creating a mesmerising mirror effect that adds to the cave’s ethereal beauty. The lake is also home to diverse aquatic fauna, including shrimp, fish, and even seals, adding another dimension to the cave’s rich biodiversity.
