- Choose the train when: the schedule suits you, you are travelling relatively light and arranging the last transfer from the station is not a problem.

If your hotel is in Tam Coc or farther into the countryside, compare the rail ticket plus the last-mile transfer against a shared van that confirms a closer drop-off. The cheaper headline ticket is not always the simpler journey.
