this is our 5th TAD adventure. When booking you know where you are going but from experience we know it’s the Tour Leader that will make or break the trip. Tom greeted us and started with setting up a What’s App, a great idea, it is more than just helpful, it brings the team together, sharing & caring. it didn’t take long for everyone to jump onboard adding info, asking questions and adding /sharing photos. Tom sorted our rooms, handed out our keys, had Water everyday, paid ahead for entry to excursion destinations, organised for laundry etc which certainly ment less headaches for everyone ( upgrade) Organising the bus to save walking or taxi/uber ride (upgrade) With Tom’s wide smile, warm personality & good English we knew we were in good hands, always happy to help out and deal with our issues (they happen) As a tour leader we rate him AAA. 5 Stars – Excellent Tours and Wonderful Guides! We had an absolutely fantastic experience during our recent visit to Hanoi, Vietnam! We booked two private tours, and both exceeded our expectations. A very special thank you to our wonderful tour guides, Hung and Cathy, who made our time in Vietnam truly memorable. Both were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and passionate about sharing the history, culture, and beauty of their country. We had a wonderful time exploring Vietnam, and the entire trip was smooth and well organised. Staying in Hanoi’s Old Quarter was a great experience, and we really enjoyed exploring the beautiful landscapes of Ninh Binh and taking the boat ride through Trang An. The highlight of our trip was the overnight cruise in Ha Long Bay. The stunning scenery, peaceful overnight stay, and morning kayaking made it a truly memorable experience. The limousine transfers were also comfortable and hassle-free throughout the trip. A special thanks to Nina for helping customise our itinerary and patiently answering all my questions from day one. Her support and guidance made the planning process much easier and gave us confidence before the trip. Overall, everything went smoothly, and we returned home with lots of beautiful memories. An Excellent Guide – Thank You, Hai Nguyen! Hai Nguyen made our Vietnam trip truly memorable! He was punctual, friendly, patient, and incredibly helpful throughout our time with him. He explained everything so well that we could appreciate not just the places we visited, but also the culture and stories behind them. What touched me most was his willingness to go the extra mile. At Mua Cave, he patiently helped me climb the steps and encouraged me along the way. He also helped us take lovely photographs, assisted us with shopping, and took us to a place selling beautiful bamboo products. His suggestions to visit the night market and take an evening walk around the lake added some wonderful experiences to our trip that we might otherwise have missed. Hai was always considerate, and attentive to our needs. His warmth and genuine helpfulness made us feel comfortable and well looked after. It is these little gestures and personal touches that make a trip memorable, and Hai certainly made a difference to ours. Timeline

08:00 – 08:30: Pick up at hotel Hanoi (NO GUIDE).
11:45 – 12:00: Boarding our boat at Tuan Chau Port – enjoy welcome drink, receive cruise briefing and safety instructions.
13:15 – 14:00: After the welcome aboard, be served with lunch while cruising towards the bay.
15.30: The crew take passengers visit the Dark and Bright (also known as Bat Cave) grotto is not only known for the stunning limestone structure at every turn but also for the interesting natural habitat. The best way to explore this cave is doing kayaking or bamboo sampan drive by local people through the tunnel so you will spend mostly your time relaxing and enjoy the quiet and natural place.
16:30: Return to cruise enjoy swimming in the bay
17:45: Depart and cruise for about 30 minutes to anchor overnight.
18:15: Attend the Fruit and Vegetable Carving Lesson led by our Head Chef. During the lesson, the chef will conduct Fruit and Vegetable carving, showing the guests how we decorate and make some traditional Vietnamese food..
19:15: Dinner is served.
20:30: Evening activities. Board games like cards or Parcheesi are available. Also, everyone can try their luck at squid fishing on the boat with help from the crew.
22:30: End of Program for Day 1.

06:45: Enjoy Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck.
07:15: Enjoy breakfast in the restaurant.
08:00: Passengers will be on the transfer boat for doing short excursion to Viet Hai village where we take a stroll around the idyllic enclave and see the fabulously rustic homes of the locals. We then take our bicycles or electrical van onto village paths and head into some of the lush greenery for which Cat Ba Island is known.
11:30: Back to the cruise.
12.00: Lunch is served.
13:00 – 14:00: Kayaking around Tai Queo cave area, a tunnel cave, to a lake like “Dragon eye”.
14:00 – 14:30: We move on to Ba Trai Dao (Three Peaches) Beaches for swimming.
16:00 – 16:30: Enjoy finger fruits dishes while cruising back the Indochine Cruise.
17:00: Return to the Indochine Cruise. Rejoin the cruise and relax onboard as we sail to the overnight anchorage.
18.15: Attend the Fruit and Vegetable Carving Lesson led by our Head Chef. During the lesson, the chef will conduct Fruit and Vegetable carving, showing the guests how we decorate and make some traditional Vietnamese food.
19:15: Special Dinner is served at restaurant on the occasion of year-end.

06:00: Continental breakfast: Coffee, tea and breakfast pastries served in the restaurant.
06:30: Enjoy Tai Chi lesson on the sundeck (lasting for about 30 minutes).
07:15: Cruise crew takes guests visit Trung Trang Cave on Cat Ba Island.
09:00: Upon returning to the boat, guests will have 30 minutes to freshen up and finish packing. Please collect all of your belongings from the cabins and leave heavy luggage outside the cabins (staff will transfer directly to the pier).
09:30: Enjoy a Brunch in the restaurant. Bills are settled after Brunch. Relax on the sundeck or in the restaurant enjoying the bay scenery as we approach the pier.
11:00: Arrive at Indochina Sails’ Pier at Tuan Chau Port.
11:00 – 12:00: The group car will pick you up at the cruise and transfer to Hanoi.

Are there any age restrictions for this tour?

We have a minimum age requirement of 18 years old to join the tour. Group members aged 16-17 years old are welcome to join the tour but only with a family member that will act as their guardian whilst on tour. Aside from that, no age requirements at all!
