this is our 5th TAD adventure. When booking you know where you are going but from experience we know it’s the Tour Leader that will make or break the trip. Tom greeted us and started with setting up a What’s App, a great idea, it is more than just helpful, it brings the team together, sharing & caring. it didn’t take long for everyone to jump onboard adding info, asking questions and adding /sharing photos. Tom sorted our rooms, handed out our keys, had Water everyday, paid ahead for entry to excursion destinations, organised for laundry etc which certainly ment less headaches for everyone ( upgrade) Organising the bus to save walking or taxi/uber ride (upgrade) With Tom’s wide smile, warm personality & good English we knew we were in good hands, always happy to help out and deal with our issues (they happen) As a tour leader we rate him AAA. 5 Stars – Excellent Tours and Wonderful Guides! We had an absolutely fantastic experience during our recent visit to Hanoi, Vietnam! We booked two private tours, and both exceeded our expectations. A very special thank you to our wonderful tour guides, Hung and Cathy, who made our time in Vietnam truly memorable. Both were incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, professional, and passionate about sharing the history, culture, and beauty of their country. We had a wonderful time exploring Vietnam, and the entire trip was smooth and well organised. Staying in Hanoi’s Old Quarter was a great experience, and we really enjoyed exploring the beautiful landscapes of Ninh Binh and taking the boat ride through Trang An. The highlight of our trip was the overnight cruise in Ha Long Bay. The stunning scenery, peaceful overnight stay, and morning kayaking made it a truly memorable experience. The limousine transfers were also comfortable and hassle-free throughout the trip. A special thanks to Nina for helping customise our itinerary and patiently answering all my questions from day one. Her support and guidance made the planning process much easier and gave us confidence before the trip. Overall, everything went smoothly, and we returned home with lots of beautiful memories. An Excellent Guide – Thank You, Hai Nguyen! Hai Nguyen made our Vietnam trip truly memorable! He was punctual, friendly, patient, and incredibly helpful throughout our time with him. He explained everything so well that we could appreciate not just the places we visited, but also the culture and stories behind them. What touched me most was his willingness to go the extra mile. At Mua Cave, he patiently helped me climb the steps and encouraged me along the way. He also helped us take lovely photographs, assisted us with shopping, and took us to a place selling beautiful bamboo products. His suggestions to visit the night market and take an evening walk around the lake added some wonderful experiences to our trip that we might otherwise have missed. Hai was always considerate, and attentive to our needs. His warmth and genuine helpfulness made us feel comfortable and well looked after. It is these little gestures and personal touches that make a trip memorable, and Hai certainly made a difference to ours. 12:00: Transferred to the main boat by tender. Embark on Le Journey Cruises
- Warmly welcome to Le Journey Cruises! While enjoying the welcome drink, our cruise manager will deliver a cruise briefing and safety introduction. After that you will check in at your cabin.
13:00: Enjoy Fabulous Lunch.
- Fabulous lunch is served while Le Journey Cruises – Luxury Cruises starts its sail into magnificent Halong Bay – an extension of Ha Long Wonder which is much quieter and has fewer tourists. He will pass the famous Finger Islet, Candle Islet and thousands of uniquely shaped limestone towers and islands.
15:30: Explore Tra Bau Floating Village
- Option 1: Swimming Ba Trai Dao Island
- Option 2: Our small boat brings you to visit a fishing village names “ Tra Bau “ to Join the Kayaking experience to explore the Tra Bau area – the famous filming location for Kong Skull Island (King Kong) in Quang Ninh in 2018.
17:00 – 18:00: Sunset Party, Happy Hour and Cooking Class.
- Back to Le Journey Cruises and relax on the cruise. It’s time for Sunset in Lan Ha Bay. There’s something magical about sunsets. It’s not only the colors but the feeling, the atmosphere, and the temperature. The way you feel at a certain moment. Enjoy our “Sunset Party “and “Happy Hour Deal”.
- The cooking Demonstration is an onboard activity that helps passengers not only to sample fine cuisine but also learn more about Vietnamese culinary culture. Cruise Chef will show and guide you on how to make Vietnamese traditional dishes such as fresh or dried springing rolls and/ or how to carve different kinds of vegetables and fruits.
19:00: Savor Deluxe Dinner.

06:00 – 7:00: In the morning on Le Journey Cruises -Have a light breakfast
- Le Journey Cruises continues to pass amazing karst towers. Tea, coffee and light breakfast are served with fresh air and peaceful surroundings.
08:30: Discover Cat Ba Island – Lan Ha Bay on the hidden route.
- You will be transferred to the day tour cruise to visit the bay to go further than Lan Ha Bay. You start the journey to discover Viet Hai village – a peaceful village with extremely beautiful scenery by bike, through vast rice fields. You stop to rest and visit the old house made from straw, mud, and bamboo … find out about the lives of local people.
12:00: Return to the day tour cruise. You will be served lunch with a variety of dishes at the restaurant.
14h00: The cruise takes you to the pristine beach area – Ba Trai Dao beach. This is the most beautiful beach in Lan Ha Bay with nature amazing white sand, very quiet and less tourists, you are free to swim or participate in kayaking activities.
16:30: Return to Le Journey Cruise. You will be watching the sunset fall on Lan Ha Bay, immersed in the soothing or vibrant music, sipping a cocktail.
19:15: Enjoy dinner at a restaurant on Le Journey Cruise.
20:45 – 00:00: Enjoy the nightlife of Halong Bay from the deck. Immerse yourself in music, enjoy a glass of cocktail from the bar, sing karaoke and relax on the cruise. Otherwise, you can fish squid with the sailors or simply relax in the room and watch Halong Bay from the balcony.

08:00: Explore Lan Ha Bay – Halong Bay
- We will visit the Dark and Bright cave – famous for Lan Ha Bay’s pristine natural beauty and poetic, attractive seascape. Here you will take some photos of the romantic, lyrical local see-sights. This is also the best time for tourists to enjoy Bamboo Boating or Kayaking which is an interesting activity to discover the truest beauty of the Limestone Mountains and the blue sky of Lan Ha Bay.
09:00: Back to the boat for check-out
10:00: Brunch time – Fun time
- During the time well-prepared lunch is served, Our Cruises slowly navigates emerald water and thousands of Karst Mountains towards the Harbor.
11:00 – 12:00: Back to Tuan Chau Harbor – Hanoi.

Are there any age restrictions for this tour?

We have a minimum age requirement of 18 years old to join the tour. Group members aged 16-17 years old are welcome to join the tour but only with a family member that will act as their guardian whilst on tour. Aside from that, no age requirements at all!
