 Verified Exploring Hanoi
Booked 2, 2 day private tours and money was well spent. Private tours means you can where possible avoid crowds and gain entry and exit quicker. Hai and Lun who we had for both days were professional and very prompt. They also could read when our energy was getting low and adapted the tour to our needs. Also understood when to chat and not as we spent a few hours travel time in car. If you’re wanting to explore Hanoi and the outer areas of Hanoi spend the extra money and book through this company. Viator and other sites are good for quick trips but for longer trips use Indochina group who are very professional

We had the great pleasure of having Hai Nguyen as our guide on today’s Bai Dinh Pagoda–Trang An tour, organised by Indochina Travel Group, and he truly made the day special. Hai was a wonderful representative of the friendly and welcoming Vietnamese culture. From the very beginning, he was warm, friendly and professional, and he always took the time to accommodate our wishes and make sure we were comfortable. He is very knowledgeable, not only about the places we visited, but also about Vietnamese history, culture and many other subjects. We really enjoyed our conversations with him and appreciated the way he shared his knowledge in such an engaging and personal way. Day 1Hanoi - Lan Ha Bay (L/D)

08:00 – 08:30am: The group car will pick you up at the hotel and starts a 2.5-hour drive to Tuan Chau Marina, Halong Bay. Be welcomed aboard with a welcome drink, then listen to the safety briefing from cruise manager. Enjoy lunch while Nostalgia Cruise moves further to Lan Ha Bay.
Afternoon
- Progress by bus to Trung Trang cave – the largest valley on Cat Ba Island. Then, back to the vessel and move to the second attraction – Tra Bau. It is time for you to immerse yourself in the crystal clear water before coming back for Happy Hour at 18:00. Relax on the top deck and watch the magnificent sunset view or join the cooking class with a Vietnamese traditional dish.
Evening
- Dinner is served at 19:15 with the fusion Asian – Western cuisine. After dinner, you have free time to order drinks at the bar, try squid fishing, watch movies, or relax in your cabin.

Day 2Lan Ha Bay (B/L/D)

Morning: Wake up early for dawn view and Tai chi session on the top deck. Enjoy breakfast and pack your belongings before being transferred to the day boat and moving to Cat Ba Island. Get on Cat Ba Island. You can opt to ride a bike or use an electric car to discover Viet Hai Village – one of the most ancient villages on the island. Back to the day boat and enjoy lunch.
Afternoon: Swim at an untouched area on Lan Ha Bay. Back to Nostalgia at around 17:00 and ready for Sunset time and Happy Hour.
Evening: Dinner is served. Freetime with onboard activities.

Day 3Lan Ha Bay - Hanoi (B/BRUNCH)

Timeline

Morning Dawn-lovers may join a Tai chi session on the sundeck to relax muscles and enjoy the fresh air. Light breakfast is served in the dining area. The cruise stops at Ao Ech area – a quiet and calm place for kayaking and watching the limestone rocks.
Back to the cruise at 9:30 am to freshen up before checking out the cabin.
Enjoy a hearty brunch while the cruise back to Tuan Chau Marina.
Disembark at around 11:30 am.
Back to Hanoi at 15:00 approx.

Are there any age restrictions for this tour?

We have a minimum age requirement of 18 years old to join the tour. Group members aged 16-17 years old are welcome to join the tour but only with a family member that will act as their guardian whilst on tour. Aside from that, no age requirements at all!
