Booked 2, 2 day private tours and money was well spent. Private tours means you can where possible avoid crowds and gain entry and exit quicker. Hai and Lun who we had for both days were professional and very prompt. They also could read when our energy was getting low and adapted the tour to our needs. Also understood when to chat and not as we spent a few hours travel time in car. If you’re wanting to explore Hanoi and the outer areas of Hanoi spend the extra money and book through this company. Viator and other sites are good for quick trips but for longer trips use Indochina group who are very professional

We had the great pleasure of having Hai Nguyen as our guide on today’s Bai Dinh Pagoda–Trang An tour, organised by Indochina Travel Group, and he truly made the day special. Hai was a wonderful representative of the friendly and welcoming Vietnamese culture. From the very beginning, he was warm, friendly and professional, and he always took the time to accommodate our wishes and make sure we were comfortable. He is very knowledgeable, not only about the places we visited, but also about Vietnamese history, culture and many other subjects. We have done a private tour going to: HOA LU TEMPLE - MUA CAVE - TRANG AN Miami was our lovely tour guide. Her English was excellent and clear. She hosting us in the perfect possible way. We had a late arrival the day before and left us to rest during the 2,5 hour drive. Arrived, she gave us much energy to during the tour and she easily joined us with the 500 steps stairs towards a beautiful view. A big shoutout to Miami and the driver!

Detailed Itinerary

Day 1Hanoi Arrival - Halong Bay - Lan Ha Bay (L/D) - Joint In Tour

Timeline

Upon the arrival, you are met at the Noi Bai airport and transferred to the restaurant for breakfast. After breakfast you will start to Halon bay.
08h00-08:30 – 8h00: You will be picked up from restaurant and transfer to Halong bay by limousine shuttle bus. Short break half way.
11:45 – 12:00: Arriving Tuan Chau marina, transferred by tender of La Pandora cruises.
12:45 – 13:00: Welcome aboard the cruise. Refresh with our welcome drink. Meet the captain, crew in the cruise briefing, safety instruction.
13:00 – 13:15: A special lunch in Vietnamese cuisine of fresh seafood and an assortment of appetizing favorites are served while sailing through Islets of Con Vit.
16:00: The Cruise sails through Lan Ha Bay. The area is surrounding of extraordinary limestone karsts landscapes. We progress to Ong Cam Area of Lan Ha Bay- a separate part of Ha Long Bay. This is a quiet tourist paradise in Vietnam, enjoy kayaking and/or enjoy swimming in the crystal-clear waters of the Bay.
17:30: Back to La Pandora Cruise, drop anchor for staying overnight. Enjoy cooking demonstration (teaching you how to make our specialty, Spring rolls) and the complimentary Sunset Party on the sundeck with local wine and fresh fruit.
19:00: Dinner is served in the restaurant. Enjoy delicious local food prepared and served for you by our wonderful onboard catering staff. After dinner, retiring to your cabin or join the fishing excursion, watch a movie, have a drink at the bar, wifi access or play exciting games. Overnight on board.

Day 2Halong Bay - Hanoi - Sky Observation - Train Street (B/L) - Private city tour

Timeline

06:00: Enjoy sunrise and admire the never-ending miraculous scenery of the Bay.
06:30: Light breakfast, coffee and tea served.
07:15: Visit Dark & Bright Cave and islets by local rowing boats which is a wild and mysterious beauty in the middle of the World Heritage.
09:15: Back to our La Pandora Cruise, relax before checking out.
10:00: Lunch is served on board
11h35: We return to the quayside in the south of the bay, where our visitors disembark in Tuan Chau Marina and leave for Ha Noi on our shuttle. Back to hotel. Check in
16h30: Our guide and driver will come to hotel and transfer to Sky Observation at Lotte Buiding. It is on the 65F, 267m high from the ground with large space. We have the Photo Zone in B1F, the Photo Counter and the Photo at Skywalk in the 65F so you can taking and buying photo, including photo frame. The Media Gallery is exciting, including Inner U&I machine to test the romantic degree for couple. We also have the Lotteria and Angel In Us Coffee.
Continue to visit train street and enjoy egg coffee here while waiting train passing. It is most yomost feelling.
Back to hotel.

Day 3Venice Mega World (B)

Timeline

After breakfast, our driver and guide will come and pick you up for beautiful day for Venice Mega World. You will enjoy Grand World with many activities: Take the Gondola boat trip to on the Vernice river, and enjoy the Journey circus festival.
You can walk around Grand world and take nice photos. After that you will come back to hotel.

Day 4Hanoi - Flight To Da Nang - Cam Thanh Coconut Village - Hoi An Ancient Town - Boat Ride - Release Lantern On The River (B/D) - Joint In Tour

Timeline

After breakfast, you will transfer to the airport for flight to Danang. Upon Danang arrival, you will transfer to hotel for check in (Check in time is 14h00)
12h00 – 12h15: The van and tour guide will pick you up at your hotel. Start your adventure with Cam Thanh Coconut for being a fisherman at Cam Thanh Coconut Village, you will experience about learning traditional fishing techniques and how to row unique Vietnamese bamboo basket boats while exploring the tranquil coconut palm waterways of the past war. On this tour, we provide authentic social and cultural insight into the local way of life in Vietnam. Furthermore, you will take part in some hands-on activities which are fun, safe, and interested are suitable for everybody.
About 14h30: Visit to the next destination to Hoi An Old Town.
- Go to the Phuc Kien Chinese Assembly Hall, a colorful mélange of bright gates, dragon statues, and elaborate rooftops. Get an introduction to ancestor worship while visiting the family altar and watching local devotees making offerings.
- You will see remarkably well-preserved old houses Phung Hung Ancient House or Tan Ky Ancient House that have withstood 200 years of weather and war. Learn about the prosperous merchants who used to live in these homes, trading with buyers from all around the world. Especially, you will enjoy art shows at Hoi An Traditional Performing Arts House.
- Make a stop at the Japanese Bridge. The bridge spans a small waterway and was constructed more than 400 years ago to connect the Japanese community with the Chinese who lived on the other side of the water. Admire the carvings and paintings inside the bridge, learning about their symbolism and cultural significance.
- Additionally, visit some of Hoi An’s well-known handicraft shops and artwork galleries. Discover smaller laneways and local neighborhoods, gaining a better appreciation of Hoi An’s endless charm.
18h00: Enjoy your time with the boat ride on Hoai River and release the flower lanterns to pray for the best lucks to you and your family. You will immerse yourself in the fanciful space of the lantern street. Free your time with the night market and enjoy the shimmering space of Hoi An.
20h00 – 21h00: After the meal, we will go back to your places in Danang.

Day 5Ba Na Hills - Golden Bridge (B/L)- Joint In Tour

Timeline

7h30: We pick you up at the hotel and start to visit Ba Na Hills – also known as the second DaLat in Central Vietnam.
9h30: You will be carried to the peak by cable car system that won 4 World’s Records (longest one-wire sling; the longest distance between each station; the longest unpatched wire; and finally the heaviest cable roll), admire the epic view and enjoy the fresh air here.
10h00: Explore Golden Bridge that sits 1,400 meters above sea level, an altitude which creates the illusion of a silk strip hiding in the clouds above Da Nang. Walking around and taking photos at Le Jardin D’Amour (the Flower Garden of Love), Linh Ung Pagoda, with 27m – height Shakyamuni statue on 6m – height lotus brings tourists peaceful feeling as visiting this place. Enjoy the panorama of Da Nang city. The next destination of your trip in Ba Na is French Village. You will feel free to visit the holy places in Ba Na: the Linh Tu Temple, the Temple of Mother Nature, the Belfry, the Phong Tu Tower, or the French village. From this area, all the sceneries of Ba Na – Quang Nam’s nature is below your feet.
12h00: You will take a rest and have buffet as lunch in restaurant. After lunch, you can experience many thrilling rides and games such, love wheel, fire race and ghosts’ house in Fantasy Park – the world-class indoor amusement park. Day 6Da Nang - Flight To Ho Chi Minh - Cu Chi Tunnels (B)- Joint In Tour

Timeline

After breakfast, you will transfer to the airport for flight to Ho Chi Minh City. Upon Ho Chi Minh City arrival, you will transfer to hotel for check in (Check in time is 14h00).
12h00 – 12h15: The trip to Cu Chi will take you an approximately one and a half-hour bus drive.
- Before exploring the tunnels, you will watch an introductory video about how the tunnels were made and how Vietnamese people survived in the harsh conditions of the wartime.
- Then, spend your time exploring the remaining areas and tunnel system which include special living areas with kitchens and bedrooms side by side with other martial facilities like weapons factories, field hospitals, and command centers helping whoever lives inside the tunnels meet their basic needs.
- Besides, there are also many hidden trap doors and dangerous traps within the maze-like tunnels for the security purpose during the war.
- Afterwards, special tea and cassava (guerrillas’ food during the war) will be served. Break time.

Day 7Mekong Delta (B/L)- Joint In Tour

Timeline

7h30 – 8h00: Our guide and driver will pick up at hotel and leaving the hustle and bustle of Ho Chi Minh City and start your trip to depart for My Tho, the town lies on the left side of the Mekong River.
- Upon arrival, visit Vinh Trang pagoda which sated back to the late 19th century.
- Then boarding the sampan and cruising down the river around the four beautiful islands known as Dragon, Unicorn, Phoenix and Tortoise islands.
- Stop over at Unicorn Island, go walking around the country lane and seeing orchards, enjoy tropical fruits, folk song music which performed by the local people.
- Visit the fruit plantation.
- Riding a hand-rowed sampan through Thoi Son canal and treat yourself in the beauty of the countryside, visit the family business, visit honey-bee farm, enjoy honey tea and coconut candy workshop.
- Have lunch at local restaurant. Break time.
- In the afternoon, time for cycling around the Tan Thach village, meet the local villagers to experience the local daily life in the Mekong delta. Hammock relaxing and enjoy cool breeze for those can’t join the cycling trip.
Return to Ho Chi Minh City.

Are there any age restrictions for this tour?

We have a minimum age requirement of 18 years old to join the tour. Group members aged 16-17 years old are welcome to join the tour but only with a family member that will act as their guardian whilst on tour. Aside from that, no age requirements at all!
